About
Good food brings the world closer.
CookAtlas is a global food discovery and home cooking platform. We bring together recipes, cuisines, ingredients, cooking guides, and food stories — so anyone, anywhere, can cook something wonderful tonight.
What is CookAtlas?
CookAtlas is a visual-first global food discovery platform for home cooks. It is a recipe site, an ingredient encyclopedia, a cuisine guide, and a food magazine in one — built around the real questions people ask in the kitchen: what should I cook tonight, how do I cook this, what can I make with what I have, and where does this dish come from.
Our mission
We want to help home cooks around the world understand the food of other places — and feel confident cooking it in their own kitchens. Good food brings the world closer; we are here to map the path between one table and another.
What we cover

Food stories
The people, traditions, and stories behind the food we love.
Our editorial approach
We cook what we publish. Every recipe is prepared in a home kitchen, timings are honest, and substitutions are practical. We research cuisines from their source, credit photographers, and correct errors promptly. See our full standards on the editorial policy page.
How we create content
We start from the questions home cooks actually ask, then write, test, and review. AI tools may help draft or structure content at scale, but nothing is published without a human editor checking every fact, measurement, and instruction. Quality comes before volume, always.
Our philosophy
Cooking should feel like discovery, not obligation. We believe a good recipe is clear enough to follow, honest enough to trust, and delicious enough to make again — and that the best way to learn about a place is often through its food.
